The location of this guesthouse was perfect, with a quiet setting and a beautiful view of the bay. The well-maintained yard was a great spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. The breakfast provided was absolutely phenomenal, with a wide variety of delicious items to choose from. Additionally, the staff were friendly and welcoming, while also giving guests their space to unwind. The included WiFi worked great, and the BBQ on-site allowed for a lovely dinner overlooking the water.
One aspect that could be improved upon is the lighting on the side stairs of the property. Arriving on a dark stormy night, I found the stairs to be a bit too dimly lit.

The host, Lauren, was kind and helpful throughout my visit. The breakfast each morning was excellent, with a variety of delicious and healthy options. The room I stayed in was modern, impeccably clean, and had a beautiful view of the harbor. The guesthouse also had a lovely garden to enjoy. I had a wonderful and relaxing vacation.
Although it was a bit stressful on a tight schedule, it didn't overshadow the otherwise fantastic experience.

Maple Rise Guesthouse is a fantastic place to stay. the rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and have beautiful views of the water and marina. the bathroom showers are amazing, with rainfall style and plenty of room. the breakfasts served at Maple Rise are absolutely phenomenal, beautifully presented and delicious. the guesthouse also has a shared kitchenette with all the essentials, making it convenient. the peaceful and quiet surroundings of the guesthouse's location make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere.
One minor downside is the lack of a bathtub in all the suites. the rainfall showers more than make up for it.

We had a fantastic 2-night stay at Maple Rise. The luxurious room, stunning view, and beautiful garden full of birds, including hummingbirds, made for a truly exceptional experience. The breakfast was one of the best we've had anywhere, and the shared kitchen was a great bonus. We also loved trying the Saltspring soaps. a wonderfully relaxing stay in the Cowichan Bay region, with easy access to hikes, farms, and wineries. A must-visit on Vancouver Island!
Strongly recommend this hotel.
